Hmmm.. i do agree that this developmental work will definitely hamper the environment. but guess there's no way out..

But if v really want to help in some way then there are zillions of ways.
One way i can think of is as follows..
Don't travel alone in a big car to office. Try to pool in so that everyone going to same area can use same transport instead of each coming by their own car..
Wouldn't this way reduce traffic and pollution? This was one of the solutions of the aforementioned problem. wat say?

well i think there shud be a balance between the development work being undertaken and the concern for trees. all said and done we do have an infrastrutcure problem,there is a need for better roads ,flyovers and airports. we cannot abandon developmental work all together, it is a necessity to sustain the countries economy and well being. wat i wud suggest is the government should find a way to replenish the trees that are bein felled in these areas someplace else. u cut a tree outta necessity in the cities,then make sure u sow another in a different location!

the infrastructure that is mentioned in the blog is very much required. Without those few flyovers that banaglore has, the traffic would be much worse, could lead to more accidents, and worse tempers than what we currently see.

"under the pretense of modernizing the IT hub" - it may be pretense, I dont challenge that, but I must say it has helped.
In fact, more flyovers are required as the city has grown so vast, and it has grown without any planning.
It is really nice to see someone waking up to the environment threat that we so ignore daily. Hope your ideas will have more to do with making the residential areas greener, as I feel whatever miniscule development that the government is undertaking is very much necessary.
